Blend the Art with the Science of Nursing: EPS 030

by | Feb 17, 2016 | 10 comments

Before we get to the teaching portion of the podcast, I’d like to start with some self-check questions so you can take your own pulse with respect to where you are in your nursing career:

  • Do you think about work and instantly feel some sense of exhaustion, disconnect or overwhelm? If so, you may want to tune in and listen more closely.
  • Are you unhappy with your employer? Does your workplace feel unsafe, unsupported or uncaring?
  • Are you disappointed with how much time you get to spend with your patients? Meaning has the job of nursing, the science of professional practice, taken over your career?

Well, I don’t want this career stress for you anymore (and I’m sure you don’t either). Today we’re going to help you apply heart based concepts of holism and presence to your nursing career so that you can enjoy yourself more fully in the workplace.

Elizabeth Scala, MSN/MBA, RN; Founder of Nursing from WithinAbout the Host: As a keynote speaker, bestselling author and virtual conference host, Elizabeth partners with hospitals, organizations, associations, and nursing groups to help transform the field of nursing from the inside out.
