Cherry Tomato Jam

Cherry tomato jam is like summer in a jar. Spread it on sandwiches, or use it on burgers instead of traditional ketchup. It pairs well with eggs, could be turned into a pizza topping, or just eaten plain with toast. So versatile and extremely yummy!

Getting this jam to you is truly a labor of love, as every step in the seeding, transplanting, and growing on is done by hand.

We start the seeds in our greenhouse during the spring. The tomato plants are grown in our vegetable garden at Creekside Hideaway.

Once the tomatoes are ripe, we harvest and make the jam on our home stove and can it with care.

Hey there!

I’m Elizabeth Scala, and I live with my husband and two dogs along Deer Creek in Parkton, MD.

In addition to “jam maker,” I’m also a holistic nurse, certified coach, registered yoga instructor, reiki master, and qigong facilitator.

I’ve LOVED plants all my life! In high school I worked at a florist, a county park, and an apple orchard. More recently, I’ve worked at a nursery and volunteered at a local organic farm.

We’ve grown numerous perennial gardens, and even relocated lots of plants as we’ve moved throughout Harford & Baltimore counties. I love herbs, vegetables, and flowers.

Of course, tomatoes are one of my favorite snacks to eat!
