Step 3 in Nursing from Within™: Allowing for Appreciation

In a video from last month, we talked about letting go. And how difficult it can be at times. We want to be good nurses. We want to get the job done- to help other people. Make no mistakes.

Yet letting go can be one of the most freeing experiences we can enjoy.

And the beauty of all of this? Once we let go we have made the space. We are an open container. We’ve made room for what we can appreciate- what we can enjoy.

This past weekend I had the joy of presenting as the Keynote Speaker at the South Dakota Nurse’s Association Annual Convention. Boy- talk about making room for appreciation, gratitude and joy! I had an exceptional experience and learned from every nurse and nursing student I interacted with.

This is what opening up for appreciation is all about. Being able to frame a situation as a learning experience. Viewing stressful times as spaces for growth. Finding the joy in every aspect of our nursing careers.

Enjoy this video and I’d love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below. Enjoy your health today.
