Leaps? Strides? Baby Steps? 1 Way to Bridge that Gap!

Bridge the Gap

No one has any time any more. You probably don’t even have time to read this post. That’s why I’m going to make this short, sweet, simple and to the point.

You want to get from here to there? You want to bridge that gap in your (health/work/happiness/spirituality/fill in the blank for what  you’re striving for)?

The Secret

It’s very, very simple. The only thing you have to do to get yourself from point A to point B is this:

Do One Thing

That’s it. That’s all I can tell you. That’s the ingenious wisdom for the day. Do one thing.

Your Goal

Is it a new job that you want? More happiness or peace of mind? Less weight? Coping skills? What? What is it that you want?

You’ll never get any closer to your dreams just sitting there. And you’ll totally overwhelm yourself with a crazy-long to-do list.

Instead of doing too little, doing too much- why not doing it just right?

The Commitment

Commit to doing one thing. One thing per day that will move you closer to where you want to be. What is your goal? What vision do you hold for yourself? Where do you want to be three months, six months, a year from now?

Each day don’t frustrate yourself with too much to do. You’ve got that taken care of already. Don’t put yourself down with thinking, ‘If I only did…’

Do one thing.

What will you do today to move you forward?

And then ask yourself that question each and every day: what will I do today to move myself forward?

Share a commitment with us below. What’s the one thing you will do today? And don’t start getting fancy with listing what you will do on Monday, next Thursday, or whatever else. Just leave a comment below with the one thing you will do today. And now get out of here. Go do it.

Well, that is certainly ‘one’ step. And definitely do-able. Thanks for coming by, reading and sharing your one thing.

I will make not think nor act in a negative manner when I go into work tonight even though I am going to float.

I agree to some extent but I wonder if we create tunnel vision when there is one thing at a time. I am in the middle of Scarcity: Why Having Too Little Means So Much and the authors speak to this quandary. Perhaps it is more of being mindful vs. focus.

Good points, Kelly. In our daily reality, doing one thing may never completely work. I suggest it as some people get stuck not starting anything when they try to do too much. Beginning with just one thing could be the difference between procrastination and getting things done. Elizabeth

Today I’m going to make it a stress-free day! I don’t have to work and I’m going to make it a “ME” day.

I commit to keeping my monthly massage appointment. Sometimes I get so busy I cancel my me time and that’s not good!

Another “ME” day paying bills and doing laundry but it’s still what I WANT TO DO! I also make sure I have my nails (mani and pedi) done every two weeks and that is a must. It’s something I do for myself that is very important to me. I can relax in the massage chairs and be pampered. Love, love, love it!!
