Difficult Co-Workers: How to Protect Yourself #yournextshiftLast week we talked about a mindset you can choose to have when dealing with a negative environment in your workplace. If you missed last week’s video, you can certainly review it here.

This week we continue on with this discussion and I give you two practical tips on how to handle difficult colleagues. As we know, the nursing profession struggles to this day to create workplaces full of support, camaraderie, and positive energy. We are surrounded by diverse coworkers who may or may not show up to work with the best attitude. How do we handle these challenging people? Better yet, is there something we can do in the very moment when negative conversation fills the break room?

In this video I share with you a tip you can practice outside of the workplace. When we build upon our strengths and value system, we can apply this to every single interaction we encounter. Then, I teach you something you can actually do to handle this tough situations.

I’d love to hear from you! What tips do you have for staying positive in the workplace? What can you add to the suggested techniques in this video blog? Leave a comment below and thanks for watching.
